Aunque son perfectas en postres y reposter\u00eda, las manzanas tambi\u00e9n combinan muy bien con platos salados, como las ensaladas oto\u00f1ales.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><br \/>\nOr\u00edgenes<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El antepasado silvestre de las manzanas actuales, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Malus sieversii<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, procede de las monta\u00f1as Tian Shan en Asia Central, donde se domestic\u00f3 hace miles de a\u00f1os. Hacia el siglo VI a.C., los romanos ya cultivaban numerosas variedades por toda Europa.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Hoy en d\u00eda, la cosecha de manzanas se extiende desde finales de verano hasta el oto\u00f1o.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b><br \/>\nVariedades europeas populares<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entre los miles de tipos de manzanas, unas 25 se cultivan de forma comercial. Es muy apreciada por su equilibrio entre dulzor y textura crujiente, con un aroma floral suave ideal para comer en fresco.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Golden Delicious:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Descubierta a finales del siglo XIX en Virginia Occidental, hoy es una de las m\u00e1s cultivadas en Europa. Su piel amarillo-dorada y su dulzor suave la hacen muy vers\u00e1til, tanto para cocinar como para comer cruda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Reineta:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Una variedad europea antigua con muchas variantes locales. Se caracteriza por su toque \u00e1cido y su pulpa arom\u00e1tica.
