Adopt an orange tree from our farm in Sagunto (Spanien). During the process of adoption you can choose a name which we will use to identify your orange tree. The trees are approximately 30 years old. They are large in size, leafy and have been grown close to the sea and the mountains. The oranges are spread all over the crown and many of them are also hidden on the inside of the tree, protected by the shelter of the dark green leaves. In this area the orange tree has been the king crop for many years. These orange trees can prolong their productive life for many more years if given favorable conditions and are not subjected to any kind of excess. In fact, artificial mineral fertilizers have been eliminated from my orchard. Organic matter is provided to nourish them, we have eliminated the use of herbicides to help improve living conditions in the soil and in terms of managing pests and diseases I decided to do without any insecticide or unnatural fungicide. The productive life of an orange tree is around 30 years. For as long as you want to keep it and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew your adoption year after year. If your orange tree dies, we will replace it with no additional cost and assuring the delivery of your harvest from others. A orange tree from our farm produces an average of 20 kg each season. You do not have to commit to the consumption of the whole harvest. Each season you may decide what quantity to reserve and pay the maintenance in accordance with the amount you reserve. This way you will only pay for what you consume and we can plan and sell the remaining harvest amount to others.
During the season, you will be able to receive the harvest that you are reserving now: a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 boxes. Once you paid for the adoption, you will be able to plan your shipments from your user account. Shipping format: __10 kg box of Valencia Late Oranges__ * Valencia Late (April until the end of May): late oranges of medium size, intense orange color which in case of a late harvest can turn more light, retains a certain level of acidity until the end of its ripening process, perfect for juices * Farming without pesticides and herbicides, respecting both the fauna and flora of the farm * Harvest on request, shipped without wax or preservative treatments in a cardboard box without plastics * Our trees are not a screw factory: each fruit is unique in appearance and size * One kilo contains between 5 and 7 fruits (the box contains 55 fruits approximately, depending on the size) * If you keep them in a fresh and airy place, they can last 2 weeks in good condition (if you want them to last longer, you can keep them in the fridge)
