You do not enter into any long-term commitment: once you receive your harvest and you enjoyed the experience, you may decide to renew and extend the adoption. These wines were tasted by professional wine tasters that collaborate with CrowdFarming and received on average __89__ out of 100 possible points.

Adopt vines that we cultivate under the Organic Farming regulations of the European Union since 2018. During the process of adoption you can choose a name that we will engrave on a plaque and hang on your vines. You adopt 6 white (35 years old) and black (16 years old) Grenache and Syrah (35 years old) vine stocks which will allow you to receive 6 bottles: 2 white Grenache "Epicure", 1 PDO white "Confucius", 1 red wine "Le Fût Oublié" and 2 red wines PDO “Saint Andrieu”. The white Grenache is a medieval grape variety originating from Spain. Back in the days, it was called “Grenache wine”, meaning "wine from Granada". It is essentially cultivated in the South of France. Its clusters are rather big and its medium-sized grapes are very sweet and juicy. The white Grenache is very resistant to drought and particularly likes dry soil. At Grange de Bouys, it was planted on clay-limestone soil, which offers ideal conditions. The black Grenache was also imported in the Languedoc from Spain back in the middle-age. It was planted on silt clay-sandy soil which allows drainage while retaining water in deeper soil layers. We are located on a low-fertility hillside, therefore the yield is low and this allows for a good quality grape. Our Syrah originally comes from the North of the Rhone Valley in France. It has been confirmed by a DNA analysis in 1998, which showed that it is a hybrid between the variety “Mondeuse de Savoie” France and the variety Dureza from Ardeche - France. It is quite resistant to drought, loves the sun and is not very prone to diseases. It is planted on schist soil. We prune our vines in “Double Cordon de Royat”, a technique that limits the production to between 20 and 30hl/ha depending on the year. We do not weed around the vines in order to protect the soil from the sun and erosion. We do not use any chemical products, herbicides, nor synthetic fertilizers. We apply biodynamic practices (Rudolf Steiner – 1924) with special preparations for the soil and the vine stocks as well as dandelion, yarrow or nettle infusions, and citrus essential oils. The harvest is done manually by a team of family, friends, and local workers. It lasts from the end of August until the end of September. The parcels surround the cellar. With 6 vine stocks, we obtain between 6 and 8 bottles depending on the year. The vinification method is by infusion and a little extraction as we consider that healthy grape clusters are the key to the obtention of good wine. The fermentation process usually happens until December, and we then blend and age the wine. We use very little sulfites in our wines for health reasons; this avoids headaches after consumption. Under organic regulations, the maximum sulfites allowed are 150 mg/l for white and rosé wine and 100 mg/l for red wine. We use between 15 and 30 mg/l. Our wines are thus considered natural wines. Biodynamic agriculture brings a regional freshness and minerality to our wines. This is because our roots have to dig deep inside the ground to get nutrients as they are not provided with any synthetic fertilizers on the surface. In October, we sow legumes that have the function to absorb nitrogen from the air and to store it in their roots, therefore contributing to revitalizing the soil. The productive life of vines is around 90 years. For as long as you want to keep it and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew your adoption year after year. If your vines die, we will replace them with no additional cost and assuring the delivery of your harvest from others.

Each season we will send you a box with: 1 x __White Grenache wine "Epicure"__ (0.75l, bottle) 2020 2 x __Languedoc PDO white wine "Confucius"__ (0.75l, bottle) 2020 1 x __Red wine "Fût Oublié"__ (0.75l, bottle) 2020 2 x __Red wine PDO "Saint Andrieu"__ (0.75l, bottle) 2020 __White Grenache wine "Epicure"__ The "Epicure" is 100% composed of white Grenache grapes. It is very fresh and mineral with fruity and citrusy aromas. It is aged in a stainless steel vat in order to keep its fruitiness. It has a fresh, slightly minty herbal character. It is a very refreshing wine and can be preserved for 3 to 4 years. This wine is perfect as an aperitif but also with pasta or fish dishes, or with Japanese sushi or sashimi for example. __Languedoc PDO white wine "Confucius"__ The "Confucius" is elaborated with 80% white Grenache grapes and 20% Languedoc Clairette grapes. These 2 varieties are pressed and vinified together. It is aged in a high-range Austrian Stockinger oak barrel of 500L and 600L for 7 months. When opening this wine, we notice citrus notes and then roasted almonds aromas. It is full and tonic in the mouth. It can be kept for 5 years. This wine is perfect with fish dishes, cheese fondue, and also with goat or sheep cheese for example. Because of its fat, it can also accompany desserts. __Red wine "Fût Oublié"__ The Fût Oublié is a pure Grenache partially aged in a 600L Austrian oak barrel for 12 months, in limited quantity. Fresh in the mouth, it is elegant with floral notes and slightly spicy pepper aromas. It can be preserved for 5 to 7 years. This wine is perfect as an aperitif with charcuterie or tapas, but also with pasta or meat dishes, and of course to accompany cheeses. __Red wine PDO "Saint Andrieu"__ This wine is a blending of black Grenache and Syrah that is partially aged in a 500L French oak barrel for 18 months and in a stainless steel vat so that it is not too much woody. It has a nice complexity with aromas of truffle and mocha and some spicy flavour such as pepper. This wine will go along well with your aperitif as well as with a dish of red meat, pasta or cheese. It can be preserved for 5 to 10 years. The products will be packed in a secured carton box containing 6 bottles.
