Adopt olive tree from the "Campillo de Julia" farm in Jérica (Spanien) and receive your products full of flavours from Spain at home. Gonzalo will take care of your adoption and take its picture. You will also be able to download the adoption certificate, and if you wish, plan your visit to the farm. You do not enter into any long-term commitment: Although your adoption will be renewed automatically, you will always be informed in advance and may decide to cancel your adoption at any time as long as the preparation has not yet begun.
You adopt olive tree from our farm in Jérica (Spanien) that we cultivate following the Organic Farming regulations of the European Union. We are already in the process of converting and expect to be officially certified by 2024. When placing the adoption you can choose a name which we will use to identify your olive tree. The olive trees of the Arbequina variety that we offer for adoption are currently planted in a "trellis" plantation, which is bushy. The new olive trees that we continue to plant will be planted leaving more distance between them. The normal production that we foresee, when we have the desired planting framework, will be about 25 kg of olives per tree, which is equivalent to about 5 litres of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. We harvest the olives from all our olive trees during the day (between 8:00 and 18:00) so as not to affect the fauna that rests in our olive grove at night, especially migratory birds. El Campillo de Júlia is in a protected area surrounded by the Regajo reservoir where many animals come to drink. The beauty of CrowdFarming is that as a farmer you also get to know other farmers who share similar motivations and values as you. That's why, in addition to the oil, your box is made up of products from the farms of three other CrowdFarming farmers from all over Spain. We start with organic almonds grown in the south of Spain, specifically in a small village in Almeria called Chirivel. Farmer Santiaga Sánchez carries out regenerative farming practices on her Finca AlVeLal. We continue our gastronomic journey and arrive at the Soto del Marqués farm in Los Yébenes, Castilla la Mancha, where Farmer Antonio Marqués includes his organic Manchegan sheep's cheese with PDO seal. This cheese has been awarded in many competitions, repeating with a silver medal at the WCA (World Cheese Awards) in 2019 and 2020. Finally, we go to the other side of Spain and land in A Carballal, Galicia, to taste the sweet organic honey from the beehives of O' Picouto. The beekeeper Aroa García offers us her multi-floral honey. Your adoption is 12 years old and its maximum lifespan is 60 years. For as long as you want to keep your adoption, and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew year after year. If your adoption stops producing for any reason, we will replace it with another, and guarantee you the delivery from the production of other units. Your adoption produces an average of 5kg of organic extra virgin olive oil each season. With this amount we can produce around 5l of products full of flavours from Spain.
Each season we will send you a box with: 1x __Extra virgin olive oil__ (2,5l tin) 1x __Organic semi-cured cheese PDO__ (0.5kg, vacuum packed) 1 x __Organic unpeeled raw almonds__ (1kg, compostable paper bag) 1 x __Organic bramble, chestnut and heather multi-flower honey__ (0.57kg, jar) __Fresh olive oil from the last harvest__, sweet, taste of green almonds, apple and green banana. It has been extracted by a cold spin process from the olive variety arbequina. Intensive green colour. The EVOO is made from olives grown on land that has not been treated with herbicides since 2010. We recommend keeping it in a cool place. Best before: 18 months from the date of production (November). __Organic semi-cured cheese PDO__, this young Manchego has a 3 month ageing period, which is when it gets its characteristic pleasant taste, with a grass-like aroma and a subtle spicy touch. It is important to keep them refrigerated and in their original packaging until consumption. The ideal temperature for consumption is around 20ºC, which is why we recommend that they should be kept at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before consumption. __Raw eco-regenerative__ unpeeled almonds grown at AlVeLal. These almonds are of the Guara and Marta variety. They are elongated at one end and rounded at the other. These almonds are the result of an initiative to restore degraded landscapes. The almonds have been grown under Organic Farming regulations since 1999 on the AlVeLal lands. Keep the almonds in the fridge at 10°C, in an airtight glass jar so that they will last up to 1 year without losing their characteristics; if they don't fit in the fridge, find a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Bramble, chestnut and heather __multi-flower honey__: dark with reddish hues, sweet and intense flavour; this honey crystallises easily, taking on a lighter, cream-coloured shade. To preserve your honey, keep it at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. The consumption of honey is not recommended for babies under 12 months. The O' Picouto beehives, where the honey comes from, have been certified under Organic Farming regulations since 2016.
