Adopt 12m² of a pumpkin patch from "Azienda Agricola Iotti Andrea" in Rio Saliceto (Italien) and receive your pumpkin risotto - recipe box at home. Andrea will take care of your adoption and take its picture. You will also be able to download the adoption certificate, and if you wish, plan your visit to the farm. You adopt 12m² of a pumpkin patch from our farm in Rio Saliceto (Italien) that we cultivate following the Organic Farming regulations of the European Union. We are already in the process of converting and expect to be officially certified by 2025. The pumpkin is a vegetable that has always been cultivated and consumed. Some testimonies tell that they were already being cultivated in ancient Rome. We are a family business, and we have been working the fields for over 100 years. In our land we have grown a huge variety of products and our experience lets us try out different types of crops. We grow the Tosca pumpkins, also known as Mantua pumpkins; every year we harvest seeds for the coming year. Seeding is carried out in the field (no seed bed) on rows with one plant every 5 metres. Coming from an unselected seed from year to year, pumpkins can have different shapes: from the classic rounded shape to the elongated shape. In the box you will find the products to make a tasty pumpkin risotto and tips for many other risottos! The pumpkin and the Nerum balsamic vinegar grown and produced by us, a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO from Caseificio Sociale Castellazzo and carnaroli rice from Azienda Agricola Stefania Goio. The cheesemaking takes place close to home, while the Goio farm is located 250km from us in Vercellese, an area with a high focus on rice cultivation. We share the same quest for quality, love for the land and affiliation to CrowdFarming!

Each season we will send you a box with: 1 x __Organic Carnaroli rice__ (1kg, packed in protective atmosphere) 1 x __Tosca pumpkin in conversion__ (2.5kg) 1 x __Balsamic dressing "Nerum"__ (250ml, bottle) 1 x __Parmigiano Reggiano PDO aged at least 24 months__ (300g, vacuum-packed) The__pumpkin__ from Acetaia Castelli: typical autumn fruit characterised by an elongated shape. Its sweet inner pulp lends itself perfectly to a thousand recipes. Organic __Carnaroli rice__ from the Azienda Agricola Stefania Goio: rice that is distinguished by a long, crystalline, whitened grain with a high starch content. Nerum __Balsamic dressing__ from Acetaia Castelli: young, dense product with a strong tendency to sweetness. Obtained from the musts of the last harvest of Lambrusco Ancellotta grapes, which are particularly black and Spergola grapes, which are very sweet. 100% natural, without dyes, preservatives and thickeners. Without chemically added sulphites but may contain them naturally. __Parmigiano Reggiano PDO__ matured for at least 24 months by Caseificio Sociale Castellazzo: characterised by a golden-yellow rind and a straw-coloured centre. Fragrant, delicate and a tasty flavour. Lactose-free. The products in this box are the four protagonists of a typical autumn dish of popular cuisine: pumpkin risotto with Parmigiano Reggiano and Balsamic dressing. Cook the risotto according to the recipe that can be downloaded from "Additional Analysis" and finish with a generous amount of cheese and vinegar. With the same ingredients you can make multiple risottos! With the box, we will send you the recipe for pumpkin and other risottos that you can make with the ingredients from the box. The Tosca pumpkin can last even a few weeks stored in a cool and dry place. The Carnaroli rice lasts a few months stored in a dry place and does not like moisture. The balsamic Nerum dressing can be stored for 10 years in a cool and dark place, while the vacuum-packed Parmigiano Reggiano PDO can be perfectly preserved for 180 days in the refrigerator between 4 and 8 degrees.

När får du det?

We harvest the pumpkins between September and October and leave them to dry in a cool place. From November to January we deliver them.
