Adopt vines from our farm in Langenlonsheim (Duitsland). During the process of adoption you can choose a name that we will engrave on a plaque and hang on your vines. You will sponsor six vines on the vineyard Löhrer Berg. The first vines were planted here in 1680. You need about six vine stocks (6 kg of grape harvest) to produce six bottles of this lovingly made wine. Our winery has been a family business for over 350 years. The vineyard Löher Berg is one of the most important Riesling vineyards in Langenlonsheim. The soil type is terraces and coarse gravel and changes against the valley in clay tone with different rock proportions. This is very good for Rieslings, which form roots up to 12 meters deep. At the base of the slope, the soil is generally richer in nutrients and is infused with many springs. Our Burgundians feel very comfortable in this somewhat protected location. All of our wines are vegan. 90% of our grapes are harvested by hand. As a result, the quality of the harvested grapes is so high that we don’t need animal products when filtering and in the whole producing process. Our wines are bottled according to German wine law: All the grapes come from our own vineyards and expanded vegan by ourselves in our own cellar. This is transparency for our customers - “100 % Schweinhardt”. We are committed to nature conservation. It is important to us that future generations can live healthy lives in harmony with nature. Ms. Ulrike Höfken, Minister for the Environment, Agriculture, Food, Viticulture and Forestry, distinguished us in 2014 on behalf of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate as a “partner company for nature conservation”. We do not use pesticides or insecticides for our viticulture. This means that rare plants and animals, such as smooth snakes, orchids and rare butterflies, like for example *Aricia agestis*, can once again be at home in our vineyards. The productive life of vines is around 50 years. For as long as you want to keep it and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew your adoption year after year. If your vines die, we will replace them with no additional cost and assuring the delivery of your harvest from others.
Each season we will send you a box with: 1 x __Riesling “Löhrer Berg”__, 2021, dry (0.75l, bottle) 2 x __Pinot blanc “Löhrer Berg”__, 2021, dry (0.75l, bottle) 2 x __Pinot grey “Löhrer Berg”__, 2021, dry (0.75l, bottle) 1 x __Pinot blanc or Pinot grey “Löhrer Berg”__, 2017, wine aged in wooden barrel) (0.75l bottle) We will send you the wine from the current bottling. For the first three wines, this is the harvest from the autumn of the previous year, for the last wine “from the wood” an older vintage that was allowed to mature longer. Depending on the taste, these wines are left to mature in large wooden barrels for 12-24 months (1 double wooden barrel = 2400l) With these wines you will go on a journey back in time. The vineyard Löhrer Berg is located in an area where there was an inland sea 28 million years ago. The surf of the waves washed the stones round. You can find layers of river gravel in the Löhrer Berg area on the hill. Fine earth later accumulated on the slope. Both are ideal conditions for developing the character of the wines clearly. The Riesling is a popular summer Riesling. Its freshness, fruitiness and liveliness are convincing. The Burgundians are great menu companions, are creamy and show their fruitiness. We recommend enjoying the Burgundy at 10°C-12°C, and the Riesling at 8°C drinking temperature. Our wines have a screw cap. Wine should be stored in a cool and dark place. Under these conditions, you can still enjoy our wines in seven to ten years.
