¿Qué adoptas?

You adopt a peach tree from our farm in Corigliano Calabro (Italia). The cultivation here is certified as organic by the European Union as of 1992. When placing the adoption you can choose a name which we will use to identify your peach tree. The peach tree is native to China, where the first evidence of this plant can be found as early as 2000 BC. It later spread to Persia and from there to the Mediterranean. Peaches can be divided into two groups: those with fuzz and those without. Among the peaches with fuzz, we have round and flat peaches. Flat peaches are also native to China. They started to spread first in the United States and later in Europe. In Italy, it was traditionally cultivated in Sicily but is also widespread in Le Marche and Calabria. Amanda and Sagittaria round peaches are both early varieties. The former originated in the United States, while the latter is a variety from Italy. The Ufo flat peach, like the Sagittaria, is an Italian variety from 1990. Our peaches are grown in containers, the most traditional form. The tree has a fast growth rate and can reach a height between 3 and 5 metres. The most characteristic feature of the peach tree is that flowering occurs before the leaves are produced, giving rise to the typical landscape of a peach orchard between February and March. Your adoption is 7 years old and its maximum lifespan is 15 years. For as long as you want to keep your adoption, and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew year after year. If your adoption stops producing for any reason, we will replace it with another, and guarantee you the delivery from the production of other units. Your peach tree produces an average of 28kg of Demeter organic peaches each season. You do not have to commit to ordering the entire harvest though. Each season you can decide how much you want to reserve, and you pay the maintenance cost according to that amount. This way you only pay for what you plan to consume, and we can offer any surplus harvest to others.
