Adopt an apple tree from the farm "Maison Tamisier" in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue (France) and receive your harvest in the form of organic Redlove apples at home. Laurent will take care of your adoption and take its picture. Also, you will be able to download the adoption certificate and, if you wish, plan your visit to the farm. You do not enter into any long-term commitment: once you receive your harvest and you enjoyed the experience, you may decide to renew and extend the adoption.
You adopt an apple tree from our farm in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue (France). Cultivation certified organic by the European Union since 2009. During the process of adoption you can choose a name which we will use to identify your apple tree. The organic Redlove apple is a red apple with red pulp. The variety is the result of 20 years of research by a Swiss grower. More precisely, it is a cross between two natural varieties, a very sour red-pulp apple from Asia that is practically inedible and a sweeter apple from Europe. Our organic Redlove apple orchards are located on the Ile de la Barthelasse. This small piece of land, situated between the two branches of the Rhône, is the "green lung" of Avignon (the city located on the other side of the Rhône). It is a river island of almost 10km², with a population of about 1,000 at most, as its vulnerability to flooding prevents it from being urbanised. It remains, therefore, largely agricultural. It is an environment with a rich and fertile ecosystem that is ideal for the development of crops, particularly apples, which is why we chose to set up here! Our crop managers constantly monitor the technical aspects and study the orchards' ecosystem so as to encourage biodiversity. Various environmentally-friendly production techniques are used. In particular, the installation of a localised drip-irrigation system. This device allows the water to be located as close as possible to the roots of the trees and avoids excessive evaporation, thus avoiding losses. Our 18 hectares of orchards will all be Global Gap certified by the end of 2021. Your adoption is 5 years old and its productive life is around 30 years. For as long as you want to keep it and we can continue taking care of it, you can renew your adoption year after year. If your adoption dies, we will replace it with no additional cost assuring the delivery of your harvest from others. Your adoption produces an average of 9kg of organic Redlove apples each season. You do not have to commit to the consumption of the whole harvest. Each season you may decide what quantity to reserve and pay the maintenance in accordance with that amount. This way you will only pay for what you consume and will be able to sell any remaining harvest to others.
During harvest season you can progressively receive the quantity of harvest that you reserve at the moment of adoption. You will be able to receive a minimum of 1 boxes, which can be increased up to 2 boxes according to your needs.
