Bardomus
You are too late to adopt an olive tree from this Farmer. Check out the other projects.

The project

Adopt {publicVariety} from the farm "{farmName}" in {cityfarm} ({countryFarm}) and receive your harvest in the form of {production} at home. The Farmer {farmerName} will take care for your adoption and take its picture. Also, you will be able to download the adoption certificate and, if you wish, plan your visit to the farm. What do you adopt?
Each {variety} produces an average of {masterUnitsMax}l of {production} per season. We collect the olives respecting and protecting the fauna that lives in our olive grove, especially the birds. This is why we have signed [the manifesto for the protection of migratory birds in olive groves](http://bit.ly/2MML0Eg).
What will you receive?
The box of your harvest contains: * 2 x Extra native olive oil of the Arbequina variety (2l container) Extra virgin olive oil of superior quality, obtained directly from Arbequina olives which are cold-pressed with mechanical means. Taste of freshly produced olive oil, with a sweet note and the flavours of green almonds, apple and green banana. * 2x Extra native olive oil “Assemblage” (2l container) This olive oil is made of all the olive varieties, we cultivate on our plantation. Extra virgin olive oil of superior quality. This is a mix of the varieties Arbequina, Picual, Borriolenca and Canetera. The juice of these olives was only obtained with mechanical means, cold-pressed. This olive oil is exclusively created by the olive oil-expert Miguel Abad Ventura. To enjoy this extra virgin olive oil with all its organoleptic qualities, we recommend you to consume it within 12 months after having received it. You will receive your harvest personalized with the name you chose in the adoption process.
When will you receive it?
Please, check the deadline for participating in this project (deadline for adoption) below. As of this date the Farmer will start preparing the orders that are to be shipped. You may select the delivery date of your box as suggested by the Farmer at check-out.
Why should you adopt?
* Learn who produces your food, how and where. Receive your food in a conscious manner. * Buy directly from the farmer. Help to generate wealth and better jobs in the rural areas. * Plan ahead and enable the Farmer to produce on demand. This way we can avoid overproduction and fight food waste. * Reward Farmers who make an effort to use environmentally-friendly packaging and cultivation techniques.

Manuel Belles
The main human factors which influence the taste of extra virgin olive oil are the cultivation techniques used, the exact moment olives harvested and the way their juice is pressed. To make correct decisions we need to be able to understand what nature and the environment are asking us to do at each moment of the year. Nowadays, especially in agriculture, we tend to produce common products. Standardized goods that do not distinguish from others. If our future looked like that, it would probably be better to retire and let machines work for us. However, the only ones able to create something extraordinary are humans - and this makes all the difference. Thanks to CrowdFarming, we at Bardomus can continue to pursue excellence in the olive cultivation and the production of our extra virgin olive oil.

“When you let nature work its way, the result can be fascinating. Losing yield in order to improve quality makes the difference between a common product and a unique one. You can especially note this cultivation philosophy when it comes to extra virgin olive oil."

Finca Bardomus
Finca Bardomus
The finca Bardomus is located between south-facing rolling hills, looking directly at the Mediterranean sea and bordered by the natural parks of Sierra de Irta and Prat de Cabanes between the small towns of Alcalà de Xivert and Torreblanca. By night, a soft Mediterranean breeze tempers the temperature and gives a specific taste to the olives grown on the fields of Bardomus. This is where the extra virgin olive oil was produced that won the gold medal of the international competition CINVE in 2014. The finca encompasses 61 hectares and the bordering areas are mountains with a dense Mediterranean vegetation. The fields are separated in the following varieties: 28 hectares of Arbequina, 8 hectares of Borriolenca, 4 hectares of Picual and 1 hectare of Canetera. The resting 20 hectares are: mountains, one canyon, paths and a new oil press used to extract the extra virgin olive oil of those people who have adopted a tree.
